A helping hand
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
The first year of residency especially the first few months can be a daunting time to go through. With the stressful work environment of a busy medical ward, academic responsibilities, university requirements and personal commitments to boot, getting through residency is an uphill task.
Our department aims to ease atleast a couple of those tensions by providing mentors both among the faculty as well as the postgraduates.
Each postgraduate is under the mentorship of a senior faculty member. They guide them in their MD dissertation. Apart from this the senior faculty offer their wealth of information to the first years both clinical as well as gems of wisdom regarding life in general as a physician and as a human being.
Each first year MD resident is assigned a mentor from the final year. They can approach them for any query related to academics, clinical management, thesis and any help required for resident life in general
